A LITTLE HISTORY:

Nestled on the south shore of Rhode Island overlooking Block Island and the tip of Long Island, the first parcel of this property was purchased in 1920 from the Norwich Trolley Company by Julia and Harry Trefes. They and their two sons later purchased more parcels of land and buildings, totaling 12 acres. The property 
is still owned and operated by members of the Trefes family.

The original name was "Atlantic Beach Casino", meaning a place to come, meet your friends, 
sit, enjoy the sun and swim in the beautiful surf.

Atlantic Beach Park retains the same old-fashioned charm that characterized beach recreational areas of years gone by, including a carousel with antique band organ, kiddie amusement rides, bumper cars, game room, ice cream and much much more.

Atlantic Beach Park is fronted on the south by one of the cleanest and most beautiful stretches of ocean surf anywhere. On the north side of the property is Winnapaug Pond, a rich source of 
Rhode Island quahogs (clams) and sweet tender bay scallops.

New attractions have been added over the years including  oceanside patio and bar with food service, gift shop, bathing suit boutique, souvenir clothing, surf shop, mini-golf, batting cages, go-karts and Misquamicut's highest elevation, waterslides, truly making this a fun-filled vacation spot for families and friends.

Open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend; weekends pre-season, post-season, and whenever weather permits. Some of the businesses within the complex are open longer.
